Proclaiming “California Native American Day” in Los Angeles County\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Proclaim September 22,\n2023, the fourth Friday of September, “California Native American Day”\nthroughout Los Angeles County; encourage residents, educational institutions,\nand community organizations to join in this special observance through\nactivities, events, and educational initiatives that promote understanding, cultural\nexchange, and respect for California Native American traditions and\ncontributions, including visiting the County of Los Angeles’ American Indian\nResource Center located at the Huntington Park Library; recommend the\nincorporation of California Native American history, culture, and perspectives\ninto educational curricula and public programs within the County; and\nencourage local organizations to support California Native American artisans,\nentrepreneurs, and cultural initiatives through partnerships and collaborations.\n(23-3266)\nAttachments: Motion by Supervisor Hahn\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
