75. On-Call Operated Heavy Equipment Rental Services Program Services\nContract\nRecommendation: Award four contracts for the on-call operated heavy\nequipment rental services program to Gonzales Tractor Service, Inc., Kip\nConstruction Services, Inc., ISCO Machinery, Inc., and Northwest Excavating,\nInc., each for a term of two years with four one-year and six month-to-month\nextension options, for a maximum potential program term of 78 months and a\nmaximum potential aggregate program amount of $107,250,000; and authorize\nthe Director of Public Works to take the following actions: (Department of\nPublic Works) APPROVE\nExecute and renew the contracts for each extension option if, in the\nopinion of the Director, the contractors have successfully performed\nduring the previous contract period, and the services are still required,\napprove and execute amendments to incorporate necessary changes\nwithin the scope of work, and suspend work if it is in the best interest of\nthe County;\nAnnually increase the program amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual program amount for contingencies, which is included in the\nmaximum potential aggregate program amount for unforeseen additional\nwork within the scope of the contract, if required; and\nExtend the expiration date to allow for completion of services when those\nservices are directly related to a previously assigned scope of work on a\ngiven project, and necessary for the completion of that given project.\n(23-3112)\nAttachments: Board Letter\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
