77. On-Call Regional Used Motor Oil and Oil Filter Recycling Collection and\nPublic Education Program Contract\nRecommendation: Award a contract for on-call regional used motor oil and oil\nfilter recycling collection and public education program to Saeshe, a Local\nSmall Business Enterprise and Community Business Enterprise, for a one-year\nterm with three one-year and six month-to-month extension options, for a\nmaximum potential contract term of 54 months and a maximum potential\ncontract amount of $2,288,821, with funding included in the Solid Waste\nManagement Fund for Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget; and authorize the Director\nof Public Works to take the following related actions: (Department of Public\nWorks) APPROVE\nExecute and renew the contract for each extension option if, in the\nopinion of the Director, the contractor has successfully performed during\nthe previous contract period and the services are still required;\nApprove and execute amendments to incorporate necessary changes\nwithin the scope of work and suspend work if, it is in the best interest of\nthe County; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual contract amount, which is included in the maximum potential\ncontract amount for unforeseen additional work within the scope of the\ncontract, if required, and adjust the annual amount for each extension\noption to allow for an annual Cost of Living Adjustment, in accordance\nwith County policy and the terms of the contract.
