76. On-Call Emergency Removal of Hazardous Material Services Contract\nRecommendation: Award a service contract to Ocean Blue Environmental\nServices, Inc., for on-call emergency removal of hazardous materials from\nvarious facilities and locations throughout the County, for a one-year term, with\nfour one-year and up to six month-to month extension options, for a maximum\npotential contract term of 66 months and a maximum potential contract amount\nof $18,150,000; authorize the Director of Public Works to execute the contract\nand exercise each extension option if, in the opinion of the Director, the\ncontractor has successfully performed the contract work during the previous\ncontract period and the services are still required, approve and execute\namendments to incorporate necessary changes within the scope of work,\nsuspend work if it is in the best interest of the County; annually increase the\ncontract amount up to an additional 10% of the annual contract amount, which\nis included in the maximum potential contract amount for unforeseen additional\nwork within the scope of the contract if, required, and adjust the annual contract\namount for each option year over the term of the contract to allow for an annual\nCost of Living Adjustment in accordance with County policy and the terms of\nthe contract; and find that the contract work is exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act.
