20. Introducing a Tourism Worker Minimum Wage Ordinance\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Hahn and Horvath: Instruct\nCounty Counsel, in collaboration with the Director of Consumer and Business\nAffairs, to prepare a draft Tourism Worker Retention Minimum Wage\nOrdinance, in Chapter 8.102 of Division 4 of the County Code, and submit the\nordinance to the Board for its consideration within 45 days, that would require a\n$25 minimum wage for all hotel workers at hotels with over 60 rooms, including\nall contractors and lessees, and theme park workers, including all retail, food\nservices and theaters in the same specific plan zone as the park, in\nunincorporated Los Angeles County, with the minimum wage increasing to $30\nby 2028, and with a Cost of Living adjustment thereafter, and in the case of\nhotels, consistent with existing protections for workers at hotels in the City of\nLos Angeles, require that all service charges go to workers.
