52. On-Demand Interpretation and Translation Services Master Agreement\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Internal Services to award and\nexecute On-Demand Interpretation and Translation Services Master Agreements\n(MAs) to Lazar Translating & Interpreting, Focus Language International Inc.,\n911 Interpreters Inc., Language Arts USA, Language Line Solutions, Worldwide\nInterpreters, TransPerfect and Jungle Communications to provide interpretation\nand/or translation services to Departments Countywide, for an initial term of five\nyears, with two, two-year and six month-to-month extension options; and\nexecute MAs with new contractors as they become qualified pursuant to the\nopen solicitation, execute options to extend the MAs, execute applicable MA\namendments should the original contracting entity merge, be acquired, or\notherwise have a change of entity, execute applicable amendments to\nadd/delete language-related categories and/or services and add/delete\nlanguages to the categories as they become necessary to meet the County’s\nneeds, execute applicable MA amendments to make necessary changes to the\nterms and conditions to align with Board policy changes and directives, and\nsuspend or terminate MAs for the administrative convenience of the County, if\nnecessary.
