37. Family Preservation Services Contract Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute Family Preservation (FP) contract amendments with the Boys and Girls\nClub of West San Gabriel Valley, Florence Crittenton Services of Orange\nCounty, Inc., Foothill Family Service, Helpline Youth Counseling, Inc., Human\nServices Association, and Project Impact, Inc., in Service Planning Areas 3, 6,\nand 7, to reallocate funds from two agencies that sunset their FP contracts, for\na total amount of $1,756,585, effective upon execution through June 30, 2024,\nwith funding included in the Department of Children and Family Services Fiscal\nYear 2023-24 adopted budget, and to be included in the Department’s\nsubsequent budget requests; and authorize the Director to take the following\nactions: (Department of Children and Family Services) APPROVE\nExecute amendments to the FP contracts for the reallocation of funds\namong the FP contracts, including unspent funds, to meet unanticipated\ndemands, or to increase or decrease the maximum annual contract\namount up to 10%, when such a change is necessitated by additional\nand necessary services, provided that funding is available;\nExecute amendments to FP contractors willing to perform work left from\nan agency that chooses to sunset or terminate their contract by\nincreasing the maximum annual contract amount not to exceed 75%, with\nsuch an increase to be reallocated among the remaining contracts\nproviding services in the same regional service area for current and\nfuture extension periods, provided that funding is available;\nExecute amendments to the FP contracts for any mergers, acquisitions,\nor changes in ownership, for any revisions required by changes in local,\nState and Federal regulations, or for necessary changes to meet the\nneeds of the County’s FP program; and\nTerminate FP contracts for contractor default, if necessary.
