45. Landscape Maintenance Services Contract\nRecommendation: Find that landscape maintenance services in various\nunincorporated North County communities which include Stevenson Ranch,\nValencia, and other areas within the Fifth Supervisorial District (5) can be\nperformed more economically by an independent contractor; award and instruct\nthe Chair to sign a contract with Oakridge Landscape, Inc., for Landscape\nMaintenance Services for various North County Zones of Stevenson Ranch,\nValencia, and other adjacent areas, for a period of one year, with five one-year\nand six month-to-month extension options, for a maximum potential contract\nterm of 78 months and a maximum potential contract amount of $21,510,741;\nauthorize the Director of Public Works to exercise the extension options if, in\nthe opinion of the Director, Oakridge Landscape, Inc., has successfully\nperformed during the previous contract period, and the service is still required,\napprove and execute amendments to incorporate necessary changes within the\nscope of work, suspend work, if it is in the best interest of the County, and\nannually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the annual\ncontract amount, which is included in the maximum potential contract amount\nfor unforeseen additional work within the scope of the contract, if required; and\nfind that the contract work is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct.
