Landscape Maintenance Services for Various North County\nUnincorporated Area Communities Contracts\nRecommendation: Find that public health, safety, and welfare require that the\nCounty extend the landscape maintenance service contracts for various North\nCounty Areas; find that landscape maintenance services continue to be\nperformed more economically by an independent contractor; approve sole\nsource amendments to three landscape maintenance service contracts with\nOakridge Landscape, Inc., to increase the contract amounts by $499,485 for a\nmaximum potential contract amount of $2,328,455 for Group A; $907,721 for a\nmaximum potential contract amount of $3,785,643 for Group B; and $734,243\nfor a maximum potential contract amount of $3,257,264 for Group C, and\nextend the term of the contracts on a month-to-month basis for up to nine\nmonths upon Board approval, in the in the unincorporated County communities\nof the North County areas, such as Santa Clarita, Valencia, Castaic, Palmdale,\nand Lancaster (5); authorize the Director of Public Works to execute sole\nsource amendments to the contacts with Oakridge Landscape, Inc. upon\napproval and proper execution by the contracts; and find that the services\nprovided in these contracts continue to be exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act.
