54. On-Call Pacoima Dam Aerial Tramway Annual Inspection and Repair\nServices Contract\nRecommendation: Award and authorize the Director of Public Works to execute\na contract with Leitner-Poma of America, Inc., for on-call Pacoima Dam aerial\ntramway annual inspection and repair services, for a period of one year, with\nfour one-year and six month-to-month extension options, for a maximum\npotential contract term of 66 months and a maximum potential contract amount\nof $2,276,756; find that the contract work is exempt from the provisions of the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act; and authorize the Director to take the\nfollowing actions: (Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nRenew the contract for each extension option if , in the opinion of the\nDirector, Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. has successfully performed\nduring the previous contract period, and the services are still required,\napprove and execute amendments to incorporate necessary changes\nwithin the scope of work, and suspend work if it is in the best interest of\nthe County; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual contract amount, which is included in the maximum potential\ncontract amount for unforeseen additional work within the scope of the\ncontract if required, and adjust the annual contract amount for each\noption year over the term of the contract, to allow for an annual Cost of\nLiving Adjustment in accordance with County policy and the terms of the\ncontract.
