53. County Paratransit Program Funding for Fiscal Year 2023-24\nRecommendation: Approve the continuation of paratransit services for eligible\npatrons in the unincorporated areas of the County for Fiscal Year 2023-24 at\nan estimated amount of $3,705,000; authorize the Director of Public Works to\nnegotiate and execute three agreements for the County's share of the following\nparatransit services: Agoura Hills Paratransit Service, provided by the City of\nAgoura Hills, for a maximum contract amount of $360,000 for a three-year term;\nLa Crescenta/Montrose Paratransit Service, provided by the City of Glendale,\nfor a maximum contract amount of $110,000 for a one-year term; and the\nLadera Heights/Windsor Hills Paratransit Service, provided by the City of\nCulver City, for a maximum contract amount of $54,000 for a three-year term;\nfind that the proposed project is exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act; and authorize the Director of Public Works to take the following\nactions: (Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nIncrease the amount of compensation for the paratransit services\nagreements up to an additional 10% of the annual maximum amount for\nunforeseen additional work within the scope of the agreements, if\nrequired; and\nApprove and execute amendments to the paratransit services agreements\nto incorporate necessary changes within the scope of work if, in the\nopinion of the Director, it is in the best interest of the County.
