39. As-Needed Architectural and Engineering Services Master Agreements\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Internal Services to execute nine\nmaster agreements with the following firms: three small-sized firms: Medical\nProjects: Viniegra & Viniegra Architecture, LLP, General Projects: Viniegra &\nViniegra Architecture, LLP and Choy Associates, Inc., three medium-sized\nfirms: Medical Project: IDS Group, Inc., General Projects: IDS Group, Inc., and\nJ.C. Chang & Associates, Inc., and three large-sized firms: Medical Project:\nCorgan Associates, Inc., and General Projects: Bureau Veritas North America,\nInc., and DLR Group, Inc., to provide as-needed architectural and engineering\n(A&E) services for an initial three-year term each, effective upon execution by\nthe Director, for an initial term of three years, with three one-year and six\nmonth-to-month extension options, for a maximum contract term of six years\nand six months, with an annual contract amount not to exceed $1,000,000 for\neach small sized firm, $2,000,000 for each medium sized firm and $4,000,000\nfor each large sized firm per year for in an aggregate amount of $63,000,000\nfor the initial three-year term; and authorize the Director to take the following\nactions: (Internal Services Department) APPROVE\nExecute amendments where the amount of any amendment does not\nexceed 10% of the amount of the original agreement or $330,000,\nwhichever is less, where the aggregate total amount of the amendments\nwill not exceed 25% of the amount of the original agreement;\nExercise the extension options to extend the term of the agreements,\nexecute individual work orders and execute applicable amendments\nshould the original contracting entity merge, be acquired or otherwise\nhave a change of entity;\nAuthorize additional services and extend the agreement expiration dates,\nas necessary, to complete the additional services when the additional\nservices are previously unforeseen, related to a previously assigned\nscope of work on a given project and are necessary for the completion of\nthat given project; and\nApprove the transfer of work orders from the current A&E services\nagreements to the new agreements.
