1-D. Transfer Ownership of Property Located at 10750 Laurel Avenue,\nWhittier, to the County of Los Angeles\nRecommendation: Find that South Whittier Community Resource Center,\nlocated at 10750 Laurel Avenue in Whittier (Property) (4), is not required for\nuse by the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA), and find that\nthe Property being transferred to the County is exempt surplus land, and\ntherefore, not subject to the requirements for the disposition of surplus land\npursuant to the California Surplus Land Act; find that the proposed actions are\nexempt from the California Environmental Quality Act; and authorize the\nExecutive Director of the Los Angeles County Development Authority to take the\nfollowing actions: (Los Angeles County Development Authority and the\nDepartment of Consumer and Business Affairs) APPROVE (Relates to\nAgenda No. 59)\nTransfer ownership of the Property on a gratis basis, via quitclaim\ndeed, to the County;\nExecute an agreement with the Department of Consumer and Business\nAffairs, which will allow for LACDA to provide operational support for the\nSouth Whittier Community Resource Center property, for a six-month\nperiod, and one six-month extension option, if necessary, and transfer all\nreserves, less any administrative costs, upon LACDA’s cessation of\noperational support;\nTransfer the reserve funds for the South Whittier Community Resource\nCenter in the amount of approximately $1,200,000 to the County and\nexecute any necessary agreements to effectuate the transfer of\nProperty;\nAssign the Space Use Agreements between LACDA and various\norganizations providing services at the South Whittier Community\nResource Center to the County; and\nExecute any necessary agreements and take all other actions necessary\nfor and consistent with the foregoing actions.
