23. United Way of Greater Los Angeles and Los Angeles County Affordable\nHousing Solutions Agency Memorandum of Understanding\nExecutive Officer of the Board’s recommendation: Find that supporting the\noperations of the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency\nthrough the contemplated memorandum of understanding (MOU) will serve a\npublic purpose pursuant to Government Code section 26227; approve and\nauthorize the Executive Officer to execute an MOU between the County, United\nWay of Greater Los Angeles, and LACAHSA, for the County to provide\nadministrative and legal services to LACAHSA, effective upon execution for a\nterm of one-year, at an annual maximum amount of $521,000; authorize the\nExecutive Officer to prepare and execute amendments to the MOU when such\namendments are necessary for additional administrative staff support and/or\nlegal services, execute up to two additional one-year extension options of the\nMOU, and terminate the MOU for convenience, if necessary; and authorize the\nExecutive Officer to approve additional cost increases up to 10% above the\nannual estimated cost per fiscal year, for the duration of the MOU.
