16. Implementing Further Countywide Expansion of Mentorship Programs\nServing Black Girls and Other At-Risk Children\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Mitchell and Barger: Authorize\nthe Director of Mental Health to execute an amendment to the Friends of the\nChildren Los Angeles contract, to extend the term through June 30, 2026, with\none extension option, for the continued provision and Countywide expansion of\nprofessional mentoring services, with a Total Contract Amount (TCA) of\n$13,593,663 for the term of the contract, fully funded by Mental Health Services\nAct funds; and take the following related actions:\nExecute future amendments to the contract to revise the boilerplate\nlanguage, revise and/or replace the fee schedule, shift unspent funds to\nfuture years, add, delete, modify, or replace the statement of work, and\nadd or reflect Federal, State and County regulatory and/or policy\nchanges provided that the County’s total payment will not exceed 10% of\nthe Board-approved TCA, and sufficient funds are available;\nTerminate the contract in accordance with the contract’s termination\nprovisions, including termination for convenience; and\nInstruct the Director of Mental Health, in collaboration with the Director of\nChildren and Family Services, to report back to the Board in writing in 90 days,\nand biannually thereafter, on the selection criteria, the program’s progress, and\noutcomes.
