71. Activities, Events and Publications with Various Associations\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Public Works to sponsor various\nevents, activities and publications with various organizations that address\ninitiatives related to Transportation, Small Business Outreach, Science,\nTechnology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics Outreach, Sustainability,\nEnvironmental Services and Water Resources, at a total annual cost of no more\nthan $50,000 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 and execute any agreements\nnecessary to carry out such sponsorships;\nAlso, acting as the Governing Body of the County Flood Control District,\nauthorize the Chief Engineer of the District to sponsor various events, activities\nand publications on initiatives related to regional water supply, flood protection,\nwater conservation, urban runoff management, water quality and funding for\nwater infrastructure projects at a total annual amount not to exceed $30,000 for\nFY 2023-24 and execute any agreements necessary to carry out such\nsponsorships; and\nActing as the Governing Body of the County Waterworks Districts, the District\nEngineer of the Districts to sponsor various events, activities and publications\non initiative related to regional water supply, water conservation, water quality\nand funding for water infrastructure projects at a total amount not to exceed\n$10,000 for FY 2023-24, and execute any agreements necessary to carry out\nsuch sponsorships.
