10. Alfred J. McCourtney Juvenile Justice Center\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Barger: Find that, pursuant to\nGovernment Code Section 26227, the leased space being utilized by the\nChildren’s Law Center of California (CLC) and the Los Angeles Dependency\nLawyers (LADL) (Premises) are not required for County purposes, and that\nleasing of the space to CLC and LADL to support child welfare is deemed by\nthe Board to be in the best interests of the County and the general public; direct\nthe Chief Executive Officer to extend the respective gratis lease agreement for\nan additional five years with CLC and LADL, each lease with one five-year\nextension option at CLC’s and LADL’s discretion respectively, that include all of\nthe existing lease terms and conditions with CLC and LADL, in their presently\noccupied Premises; approve and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to\nexecute any ancillary documentation, that are necessary to effectuate the terms\nof the proposed lease extensions and take any other actions necessary and\nappropriate to implement and effectuate the terms of the proposed lease\nextensions; and find that the proposed lease extensions and the recommended\nactions are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
