32. Department of Mental Health Lease Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute a proposed\nlease amendment with A & S Balboa Medical, L.P., a California limited\npartnership, for the Department of Mental Health’s continued use of\napproximately 25,996 sq ft of office space, and 108 on-site parking spaces,\nlocated at 10605 Balboa Boulevard in the City of Granada Hills (3), with an\nestimated maximum first-year base rental amount of $1,013,844, and an\nestimated aggregate total lease amount of $10,300,000 over the nine-year term,\nfully funded by State and Federal funds, with no impact to Net County Cost;\nexecute any other ancillary documentation necessary to effectuate the\nproposed lease and take actions necessary and appropriate to implement the\nproposed lease including, without limitation, exercising any early termination\nrights; and find that the proposed lease amendment is exempt from the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act.
