Stand with the Banned: Digital Library Cards for California Teens\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Horvath and Hahn: Instruct the\nCounty Librarian to report back to the Board in writing in 30 days with a plan to\nestablish a program which makes digital library cards available to all residents\nand teens in California to be launched during Banned Books Week,\nOctober 1 through 7, 2023, including working with the Chief Executive Officer,\nas well as the Center for Strategic Partnerships, to establish a funding source\nfor purchasing the eBook collection, including commonly banned books , and\npromoting the program; where funding sources may include American Rescue\nPlan Act funds or other one-time funding sources.
