6.G. A RESOLUTION TO RESCIND PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED\nRESOLUTIONS THAT RESTRICTED CITY-SPONSORED\nTRAVEL TO CERTAIN CITIES AND STATES [C. BYERS, Y.\nQUARKER, J. DEL TORO, H. MOLINA]:\nThe City Council will consider adopting a resolution to rescind\npreviously adopted resolutions that restricted City-sponsored travel\nto certain cities and states that enacted policies that run counter to\nthe core values embraced by the City of West Hollywood.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 23-________: "A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST\nHOLLYWOOD RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS WHICH\nRESTRICTED CITY-SPONSORED TRAVEL TO CERTAIN CITIES\nAND STATES THAT ENACTED POLICIES THAT RUN COUNTER\nTO THE VALUES EMBRACED BY THE CITY OF WEST\nHOLLYWOOD;" and 2) Direct staff to send copies of the adopted\nresolution to California Governor Gavin Newsom, California State\nSenator Ben Allen, California State Assembly Member Rick Chavez\nZbur, and other parties as deemed appropriate, including\nGovernors of states for which City-sponsored travel had been\npreviously restricted.\nSTAFF REPORT\nITEM 6.G. - ATTACHMENT A\nITEM 6.G. - ATTACHMENT B\nEXCLUDED CONSENT CALENDAR: Items removed from the Consent\nCalendar for separate discussion are considered at this time.\nPUBLIC COMMENT: This time is set aside for the public to address the\nCouncil on any item of interest within the subject matter jurisdiction of the\nCouncil that could not be heard under Item 1 at the beginning of the\nmeeting.\nCOUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS AND MEETING ATTENDANCE REPORTS:\nThis portion of the meeting is set aside for general comments,\nannouncements, requests of staff, subcommittee meeting reports, and/or\nother issues of concern from members of the City Council.
