PUBLIC HEARING: RESOLUTIONS TO APPROVE AND ADOPT THE COMMUNITY\nDEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) 2023-2024 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND\nAMENDMENTS TO THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN\nPresentation by Sarabeth Suarez, Housing & CDBG Analyst\nPurpose: Authorize the submission of the final CDBG 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan to\nHUD and adopt the amended Citizen Participation Plan. The Annual Action Plan\nprovides a concise summary of the actions, activities, goals, and the specific federal and\nnon-federal resources that will be used to address the City’s housing and economic\ndevelopment needs. The Citizen Participation Plan outlines the actions the City must\ntake to encourage public participation in the CDBG program planning process.\nRecommended Action: 1) Hold a public hearing to review and receive public comments\nfor the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan\nand amendments to the Citizen Participation Plan; 2) Adopt a resolution approving the\nfinal CDBG 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan and the amended Citizen Participation Plan;\n3) Adopt a resolution approving the amended Citizen Participation Plan; and, 4)\nAuthorize submission of the final CDBG Annual Action Plan to the U.S. Department of\nHousing and Urban Development (HUD).\nMAYOR/CITY COUNCIL REPORTS & CALENDAR\na.
