44. Mobile Spay and Neuter Clinic and Vaccination Services Contracts\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Animal Care and Control to execute\ncontracts approved with Spay4LA, and Simi Valley Non-Profit Spay and Neuter\nClinic for mobile spay and neuter clinic, and vaccination services in the\nunincorporated areas of the County, and in those cities served by the\nDepartment, three-year-terms each beginning on July 1, 2023, with two\none-year extension options for a maximum potential term of five years each, the\nmaximum annual amount of both contracts will be $300,000 paid from the\nDepartment's Spay and Neuter Trust Fund; exercise the extension options if, in\nthe opinion of the Director, the contractor has performed successfully during\nthe previous contract period, the services are still required, and it is in the best\ninterest of the County, and execute amendments to add, delete, and/or change\ncertain terms and conditions as required under any Federal, State, or County\nrequirement, or to meet program needs; and to increase the contracted amount,\nby up to 10% of the total contract amount annually, as needed, during each\ncontract year in the event that services need to be increased on the condition\nthat the funding is within the Department's budget allocation.
