Proclaiming April 2023 as “Arts Month” and Support for Arts Education\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Hahn and Barger: Direct the\nChief Executive Officer to report back to the Board during the Fiscal Year\n2023-24 Supplemental Changes budget on matching philanthropy’s investment\nin the Los Angeles County Arts Ed Collective, by funding $1,050,000 ongoing to\nArts and Culture to activate Countywide Cultural Policy Strategic Plan Strategy\n10: Support School Districts to Advance Equity in Arts Education, which\nincludes programmatic costs of $850,000 and one Sr. Program Associate at\n$199,000; proclaim April 2023 as “Arts Month” throughout Los Angeles County,\nand recognize the contributions of artists, arts administrators, arts\norganizations, culture bearers, and arts educators throughout the County, and\nsolidify the County’s commitment to promoting the arts, cultural equity and\ninclusion, and the Department of Arts and Culture; and encourage County\nDepartments to share information about Arts and Culture opportunities to their\nconstituents and on their social media throughout the month, in partnership with\nthe Department of Arts and Culture.
