25. Proclaiming “Los Angeles County Home Visiting Day”\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Solis: Proclaim April 21, 2023 as\n“Home Visiting Day” throughout Los Angeles County, as the Los Angeles\nCounty Perinatal and Early Childhood Home Visitation Consortium encourages\nall residents to recognize the incredibly positive impact that home visiting can\nhave on child development, parenting, and overall health outcomes, and\nencourage all expectant and parenting families to visit the e-Directory to learn\nmore about which home visiting service is best suited for them, and encourage\nreferrals through the e-Directory; and instruct all County Department Heads,\nparticularly the Directors of Public Health, Children and Family Services, Health\nServices, Mental Health, and Public Social Services, to use outreach materials\ndeveloped by the Los Angeles County Perinatal and Early Childhood Home\nVisitation Consortium and the Department of Public Health, to provide clients\nwith home visiting information and assist with client referrals to home visiting\nprograms.
