An Ordinance of the City of Glendora adding Chapter 2.05 to Title 2 of the City of Glendora\nMunicipal Code to include a "Sunshine" Provision to increase transparency and accountability in\nGovernment Operations (Strategic Plan Item 27-EMO)\nCITY RECOMMENDATION: 1. Consider and provide direction to staff on the proposed Open\nGovernment Ordinance to improve openness and transparency in Glendora municipal\ngovernment through the establishment of new local standards to supplement the provisions of the\nRalph M. Brown Act and the Public Records Act; and, 2. If desired, introduce for first reading an\nOrdinance of the City Council entitled “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL,\nAMENDING THE GLENDORA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CHAPTER 2.05,\nSUNSHINE ORDINANCE TO TITLE 2 OF THE CITY OF GLENDORA MUNICIPAL CODE\nTO INCLUDE A “SUNSHINE” PROVISION TO INCREASE TRANSPARENCY AND\nACCOUNTABILITY IN GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ESTABLISHING LOCAL\nSTANDARDS TO ENSURE PUBLIC ACCESS TO PUBLIC MEETINGS.”
