10.8\nConsideration of Acceptance of the Soil Remediation Project\nat the Former Berk Oil Site (CIP No. 3927)\nRECOMMENDATION:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council:\n1. Accept the Construction Contract of Resource Environmental,\nInc. for the Soil Remediation Project at Former Berk Oil Site as\nComplete; and\n2. Appropriate an additional $65,678.20 in ECRG funds to cover\ncosts that exceeded the original construction contract and\ncontingency; and\n3. Authorize staff to file the Notice of Completion.\nCONCLUSION: The City Council’s acceptance of the Project as\ncomplete is required to allow the City Clerk to file the Notice of\nCompletion with the LA County Registrar-Recorder.\nFISCAL IMPACT: The Project performed was funded through the\nEquitable Community Revitalization Grant (ECRG) program received\nfrom Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC).
