9.1 AWARD OF WASTE HAULER AUDIT CONSULTING SERVICES\nComments:\nThe City has contracted with Waste Resources, Inc. since November 2013 to provide\nexclusive solid waste handling services to residential, multi-family, commercial and\nindustrial customers within City limits.\nOn July 3, 2025, the City issued an Informal Request for Proposals (IRFP) for qualified\nconsultants to review the performance and legislative compliance of the City’s franchised\nwaste hauler which provides exclusive service to residential and commercial properties.\nThe deadline to submit proposals was July 10, 2025. (CM)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Review the proposals from the two (2) qualified consulting firms;\n2.\nProvide staff with direction regarding the selection of the audit consulting firm to\nperform the services; and\n3. Award the contract to one of consulting firms and authorize the mayor to execute the\ncontract.
