9.\nFINANCE COMMITTEE: AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES FOR\n2024 URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) GRANT FUNDS AND AMEND\nTHE FIRE DEPARTMENT’S AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT’S FY 2026 OPERATING BUDGETS TO RECOGNIZE AND APPROPRIATE\nTHE GRANT FUNDS (Fire Dept.)\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n(1)\nFind that the proposed action in the agenda report is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to\nCEQA guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) "Common Sense" exemption;\n(2)\nAuthorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with the City of Los Angeles to accept and administer 2024 Urban Area Security\nInitiative (UASI) grant funds; and\n(3)\nAmend the Fire Department and Public Health Department Fiscal Year 2026 Operating Budgets by recognizing revenue and\nappropriating $200,185 awarded by UASI as detailed in the Fiscal Impact section of the agenda\nreport.
