1.\nAUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH GREENFIELD MANAGEMENT FOR WEED AND BRUSH\nCLEARANCE SERVICES FOR UP TO FIVE YEARS FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOTTO-EXCEED $995,280 (PRCS Dept.)\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n(1)\nFind that the project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA\nGuidelines in accordance with Article 19, Class 1, Existing Facilities, and Class 4, Minor Alterations\nto Land, as well as being statutorily exempt from CEQA in accordance with Public Resources Code Section 21080(b) and CEQA Guidelines\nSection 15269 as an action necessary to prevent or mitigate an emergency; and\n(2)\nAuthorize the City Manager to award contract to lowest and best bid dated July 24, 2025 submitted by Greenfield Management in\nresponse to the plans and specifications for Weed and Brush Clearance, for Parks,\nRecreation and Community Services and authorize the City Manager to enter into a five-year contract for an amount not-to-exceed $995,280\nwhich includes the base contract amount of $904,800 and a contingency of $90,480 to\nprovide for any necessary change orders.
