9G.\nAWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE HEATING, VENTILATION AND\nAIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) SYSTEM REPLACEMENT – PHASE 1\nThree (3) bids for the HVAC System Replacement – Phase 1 Project were opened on\nAugust 4, 2025. Based on the post-bid analysis of the bids received, staff has determined\nthe bid submitted by AC Pros, Inc. to be the lowest responsible and responsive bid. The\nbid documents included a Base Bid Schedule for the replacement of three (3) HVAC units\nand an Alternate Bid Schedule for the potential replacement of up to five (5) additional\nunits. Considering available funding, staff recommends awarding the contract to AC Pros,\nInc. for the Base Bid plus two (2) alternate units, for a total contract amount of\n$484,000.00.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare that this project is categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), Class 2, Section 15302 as replacement of\nexisting structures and facilities; and\n2. Award a construction contract for the HVAC System Replacement – Phase 1 Project\nto AC Pros, Inc. for the bid amount of $484,000.00 and reject all other bids; and\nStanton City Council Agenda\n3. Authorize the City Manager to bind the City of Stanton and AC Pros, Inc. in a contract\nfor the construction; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager to approve contract change orders, not to exceed\n$48,400.
