9I.\nAWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE STREETLIGHT UPGRADES\nPROJECT\nOn April 25, 2024, staff applied and successfully secured funding from the Energy\nEfficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program in the amount of $76,230.00\nfor street lighting upgrades. A total of three (3) quotes were received to furnish and install\nfifty-four (54) streetlight fixtures at various locations. Staff recommends a construction\ncontract be awarded to Yunex, LLC, in the amount of $72,295.00.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare that this project is categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), Class 2, Section 15302 as replacement of\nexisting structures and facilities; and\n2. Award a construction contract for the Streetlight Upgrades Project to Yunex, LLC, for\nthe amount of $72,295; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to bind the City of Stanton and Yunex, LLC in a contract\nfor the construction; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager to approve contract changes orders, not to exceed $3,935;\nand\nStanton City Council Agenda\n5. Appropriate a total of $76,230 from the Lighting Maintenance 1919 Act Fund (#224)\nand increase grant revenues in the same amount being appropriated; and\n6. Accept the Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program in the amount\nof $76,230; and\n7. Authorize the City Manager to amend the adopted FY 25/26 Capital Improvement\nProgram to include the Streetlight Upgrades Project.\nEND OF CONSENT CALENDAR
