12.2\nMemorialization of Governance Planning During the Mayor’s Deployment and\nAppointments to City Council Committees and Regional Boards and Commissions\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n1. Adopt a resolution memorializing the City Council’s direction provided during the\nAugust 20, 2025, City Council meeting regarding governance planning during\nthe Mayor’s deployment; and\n2. Designate a member of the City Council to serve as the presiding officer in the\nabsence of the Mayor Pro Tem during the Mayor’s military deployment; and\n3. Discuss and ratify appointments of City Council representatives to City Council\nsubcommittees, ad hoc committees and regional boards and commissions,\neffective upon the Mayor’s deployment.
