O-25-1421 (FIRST READING)\nADOPTING THE 2025 EDITIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA BUILDING\nSTANDARDS CODES\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the Council introduce for first reading Ordinance\nNo. O-25-1421 and continue the public hearing. Resolution No. R-25-23 will be\nbrought back for adoption with the continued public hearing, second reading of the\nOrdinance and consideration of an urgency ordinance at the September 26, 2025,\nCity Council meeting. If the City Council concurs with staff’s recommendation, the\nappropriate motion would be:\n“I move to waive full reading and introduce by title only, Ordinance No. O-25-1421,\nan Ordinance of the City of San Marino Adopting by Reference the 2025 Editions of\nthe California Administrative, Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Residential,\nFire, Energy, Green Building Standards, Historical Building, Existing Building,\nAppendix J Los Angeles County Grading Standards and Referenced Standards Codes,\nwith Certain Amendments, Deletions and Additions, and Amending Chapter 25 of the\nSan Marino Municipal Code.”\nCONSENT CALENDAR
