F.6.\nCO-SPONSORSHIP OF A COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE WITH UCLA –\nRONALD REAGAN UCLA MEDICAL CENTER [C. BYERS, Y.\nQUARKER, A. LOVANO, J. DEL TORO]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider a request to Co-Sponsor a\ncommunity blood drive with the Regents University of California Los\nAngeles dba Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (aka UCLA Health).\nThe community blood drive will occur in West Hollywood Park’s Aquatic\nand Recreation Center on a date to be determined.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Co-sponsorship Agreement for a\ncommunity blood drive, organized by UCLA Health, to be held at West\nHollywood Aquatic and Recreation Center on a date to be determined; 2)\nAuthorize the City Manager or his designee to execute documents incident\nto the Co-Sponsorship Agreement between the City and UCLA Health; 3)\nApprove waiving the facility use fee (Doheny Room, West Hollywood Park\nAquatic and Recreation Center), encroachment fee and other ancillary\nfees, and parking at the 5-story parking structure for event organizers and\nparticipants. (Estimated $900 in waived fees); 4) Authorize the use of the\nCity name and logo on invitations, programs, and other collateral materials\nfor the event; and 5) Direct the Communications Department to utilize all\nappropriate communication tools to promote the event, including, but not\nlimited to, the City’s website and social media tools.
