E.2.\nORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE UPDATE AND APPROVAL OF\nADDING ONE FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITION, ELIMINATING\nTHREE FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS, AND THE FISCAL\nYEAR 2025-26 CITYWIDE SALARY SCHEDULE [D. LEUNG]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive an update on organizational\nstructure changes and consider adding one (1) new full-time equivalent\n(FTE) position, eliminating three (3) existing FTE positions, and approving\nthe Fiscal Year 2025-26 Citywide Salary Schedule.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve consolidating the Community &\nLegislative Affairs Division functions with the City Manager’s Division\nwithin the City Manager’s Department and eliminate the Community &\nLegislative Affairs Division; 2) Approve adding one (1) full-time equivalent\nCommunity Affairs Supervisor position; 3) Approve eliminating three (3)\nfull-time equivalent positions: a. Community & Legislative\nAffairs Manager, Community Services Department; b. Property\nDevelopment\nManager, City Manager’s Department, and c. Innovation Officer, City\nManager’s Department; and 4) Approve the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Citywide\nSalary Schedule reflecting all City positions and associated salaries to\nmeet the California Public Employees' Retirement System requirements of\nGovernment Code § 20636(b)(1) and California Code of Regulations §\n570.5.
