J. APPROVAL OF FIREWORKS DISPLAY PERMIT FOR GABRIELINO HIGH\nSCHOOL ON OCTOBER 24, 2025\nFireworks & Stage FX America, a California licensed Pyrotechnics Company, has\napplied for a permit on behalf of Gabrielino High School, for a two-minute\nfirework display on Friday, October 24, at 8:00 P.M. Pursuant to San Gabriel\nMunicipal Code Title IX Sections 96.21 – 96.23, City Council approval is required\nto issue a permit on approval and recommendation of the Fire Chief for\npyrotechnic displays. Fees totaling $291.75, including inspection, permit, and\nadministrative charges per the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Fee Schedule are due prior\nto issuance of permit. No Fire Department overtime expense is anticipated for\nthis event.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire\nMarshal to issue a fireworks permit to Fireworks & Stage FX America, on behalf\nof Gabrielino High School, contingent on meeting the conditions of the\napplication.
