8.3 CHANGE OF BOARD MEMBER TO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE LOS\nANGELES GATEWAY REGION INTEGRATED REGIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT\nAUTHORITY\nComments:\nThe City is a member of the Los Angeles Gateway Region, Integrated Regional Water\nManagement Authority (Gateway Water Management Authority). In accordance to\nGWMA’s Bylaws all non-Legislative Body appointments to the GWMA Board must be\ndone by Resolution. On November 1, 2022, the City Council appointed Julian Lee,\nDirector of Public Works as the Board Member. With the recent hiring of a new Public\nWorks Director, staff is recommending that a new board member be appointed in place of\nJulian Lee. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A\nCHANGE OF THE BOARD MEMBER TO THE GATEWAY REGION INTEGRATED\nREGIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY GOVERNING\nBOARD.”
