4.\nSMOKE-FREE MULTI-UNIT HOUSING REGULATIONS – F2M25-7\nOn June 23, 2025, the City Council directed staff to research and provide information\npertaining to ordinances prohibiting smoking in multi-unit residences. Staff will present\ninformation on this topic as it relates to State law, the Alhambra Municipal Code, and\nsmoke-free multi-unit ordinances from nine local municipalities as well as landlords’\ndiscretion in the matter and implementation issues.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council receive and file the information regarding\nsmoke-free multi-unit housing and provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
