9.\nNOTICE OF COMPLETION: ROOF REPLACEMENT AT THE UTILITIES CUSTOMER\nSERVICE CENTER – F2M24-69, C2M25-7, M2M25-137\nThe City Council awarded a contract to McDonnell Roofing, Inc. in the amount of\n$64,400.00 for the roof replacement at the Customer Service Center on February 24,\n2025. There was one change order in the amount of $6,800 to remove two drains that\nwere leaking and replace two 3-inch cast iron drains. In addition, $892.00 is being\ndeducted to the retention as a result of damage to the cable and connection to the front\nbuilding’s camera. All work has been completed in accordance with the project\nspecifications. It would be appropriate for City Council to accept this project as complete\nand instruct that the Notice of Completion be filed with the County of Los Angeles\nRecorder’s Office.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council accept the work of McDonnell Roofing, Inc. for\nthe Roof Replacement Project at the Customer Service Center as complete in the amount\nof $70,308.00; direct the City Clerk to file the Notice of Completion with the County of Los\nAngeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the 5% retention thirtyfive (35) days from the date of recordation, if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
