8.\nNOTICE OF COMPLETION: FY 2023-24 SB1 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT –\nF2M23-38, C2M25-18, M2M25-136\nOn April 28, 2025, the City Council awarded a contract for the FY 2023-2024 SB1 Street\nRehabilitation Project to Hardy & Harper, Inc. in the amount of $3,085,000.00. The project\nwas completed in the amount of $2,906,579.49, due to a deletion of one area of paving,\nresulting in a reduction of $178,420.51 to the original contract. This project has been\ninspected by staff and all work has been completed in accordance with the City’s\nrequirements and specifications. As such, it would be appropriate for the City Council to\naccept this project as complete and instruct that the Notice of Completion be filed with the\nCounty of Los Angeles Recorder’s Office.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council accept the work of Hardy & Harper, Inc. for the\nFY 2023-2024 SB1 Street Rehabilitation Project as complete in the amount of\n$2,906,579.49; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County of Los\nAngeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the 5% retention 35 days\nfrom the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
