11.\nDESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATES FOR THE LEAGUE OF\nCALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE – F2M25-13, M2M25-139\nThe League of California Cities Annual Conference is scheduled for October 8th through\n10th at the Long Beach Convention Center. During the Conference the League conducts\nits Annual Business Meeting during which the membership considers and takes action on\nresolutions that establish future League policy. In order for the City to have a vote at the\nAnnual Business Meeting, it is necessary for the City Council to designate the voting\ndelegate and alternates. Per the League’s Bylaws, only one Primary Delegate and two\nAlternates can be designated. It is anticipated that Vice Mayor Maloney and\nCouncilmembers Maza and Wang will be present on Friday, October 10th when the Annual\nBusiness Meeting is scheduled; therefore, due to the fact that Mr. Maloney and Ms. Wang\nare already appointed as the City’s representatives for the League of California Cities, Los\nAngeles Board of Directors, staff is proposing that Vice Mayor Maloney be appointed as\nthe Voting Delegate for the City at the Annual Business Meeting and Councilmembers\nWang and Maza be appointed as Voting Delegate Alternates.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve the proposed appointment of Vice\nMayor Maloney as Voting Delegate and Councilmembers Wang and Maza as Voting\nDelegate Alternates for the 2025 League of California Cities Conference’s Annual\nBusiness Meeting.
