11.15 Consideration of Resolution Approving an MOU with Support\nand Feed, Inc. for the Free Farmers' Market Initiative Program\nRECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City\nCouncil adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager\nto execute a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with Support\nand Feed, Inc.\nCONCLUSION: The Free Farmers Market Initiative is a program that is\ndeveloped to improve food security, reduce food waste, and expand\naccess to plant-based nutrition, at no cost, for the City’s residents and\nmembers of the surrounding community. The Farmers Market was\ninitiated last December and has been a well-received addition to the\nprogramming offered to the residents of Bell Gardens.\nFISCAL IMPACT: None.
