9F.\nACCEPTANCE OF THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2024/2025 SEWER REHABILIATION\nPROJECT (TASK CODE NO. 2025-301) BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nSTANTON, CALIFORNIA\nThe FY 2024/2025 Sewer Rehabilitation Project consisting of cleaning the sewer lines,\ntraffic control, installing Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) Liner, manhole repairs and\nadjustments, post CCTV inspection and all appurtenant work is now complete. The final\nconstruction cost for the project was $233,725.00. The City Engineer, in his judgment,\ncertifies that the work was satisfactorily completed as of September 9, 2025, and\nrecommends that the City Council accept the completed work performed on this project.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”), Class 1, Section 15301(b) as maintenance, repair, and minor alteration\nof existing publicly owned sewerage utilities; and\n2. Accept the completion of improvements for the FY 2024/2025 Sewer Rehabilitation\nProject, as certified by the City Engineer, and affix the date of September 9, 2025, as\nthe date of completion of all work on this project; and\n3. Approve the final construction contract amount of $233,725.00 with Tunnelworks\nServices, Inc.; and\n4. Direct the City Clerk within ten (10) days from the date of acceptance to file the Notice\nof Completion with the County Clerk-Recorder of the County of Orange; and\n5. Direct City staff, after thirty-five (35) days has elapsed from the filing of the “Notice of\nCompletion” with the County Clerk-Recorder, to make the retention payment to\nTunnelworks Services, Inc. in the amount of $11,686.25.
