24.\nProclaiming Banned Books Week October 5, 2025 in Los Angeles County\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Horvath: Proclaim October 5\nthrough October 11, 2025, as “Banned Books Week” throughout Los Angeles\nCounty to celebrate the freedom to read and raise awareness about the harms\ncaused by censorship. Instruct the County Librarian, the Directors of Parks\nand Recreation, Arts and Culture, and Youth Development, the Superintendent\nof Schools of the Los Angeles County Office of Education, and all relevant\nDepartment Heads, to share information about the Writers’ Summit.
