43.\nOn-Call Environmental Testing, Inspection, and Monitoring Services\nConstruction Contracts\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Public Works to execute ten\nconsultant services contracts with each of the following five small-sized firms:\nEco & Associates, Inc., Remdox, Inc., Aurora Industrial Hygiene,\nEnvironmental Network Corporation, and MECA Consulting, Inc. Three\nmedium-sized firms: ACC Environmental Consultants, Inc., The Converse\nProfessional Group, and Clark Seif Clark Inc., and two large-sized firms,\nKleinfelder, Inc., and Citadel Environmental Services, Inc., to provide on-call\nenvironmental testing, inspection, and monitoring services in support of the\nPublic Works Capital Projects Program. Each contract will be for an initial\namount of $1,000,000 and a three-year term plus two one-year extension\noptions, subject to the additional extension provisions. Find the proposed action\nis not a project pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act. Authorize\nthe Director to take the following actions: (Department of Public Works)\nAPPROVE\nAuthorize additional services and extend the contract expiration date as\nnecessary to complete those additional services when those additional\nservices are previously unforeseen, related to a previously assigned\nscope of work on a given project, and are necessary for the completion\nof that given project.\nSupplement the initial $1,000,000 contract amount by up to 10% per\namendment or $100,000, based on workload requirements. The\naggregate amount of such amendments shall not exceed 25% of the\noriginal contract amount or $250,000, for a maximum amount not to\nexceed $1,250,000.\nAdminister the contracts and at the discretion of the Director exercise the\noptions extending the contracts for the two one-year extension options\nbased upon project demands and the level of satisfaction with the\nservices provided with no change to the contract amounts, and to\nsuspend/terminate the contracts for convenience if it is in the best\ninterest of the County to do so.
