(4) 23-0485 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to drafting an Ordinance to replace the current Los Angeles Fire Code (LAFC) and adopting the proposed LAFC amendment package for 2023. Recommendation for Council action: REQUEST the City Attorney to prepare and present an Ordinance to amend Chapter 5, Article 7, of the Los Angeles Municipal Code to replace the current LAFC; and, ADOPT the proposed LAFC amendment package for 2023, contained in the Board of Fire Commissioners (BFC) report dated May 10, 2023, attached to Council file No. 23-0485, that is based on the 2022 California Fire Code and the 2021 International Fire Code, published by the International Code Council with amendments.
