(43) 23-1011 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CAO) relative to authority to apply for the Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) grant. Recommendations for Council action: AUTHORIZE the General Managers, Port of Los Angeles (POLA), Bureau of Engineering (BOE), Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), or designees, to prepare and submit a grant application for the proposals detailed in Attachment 1 of the September 15, 2023 CAO report, attached to the Council File. INSTRUCT the General Managers, POLA, BOE, LADOT, RAP, or designees, to report if the City is awarded the grant, request authority to accept the grant award, and identify match and front funding.
