(23) 23-0002-S82 RULES, ELECTIONS AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT and RESOLUTION relative to establishing the City’s position regarding Senate Bill (S.) 2175 (Gillibrand) to shorten the waiting period for employment authorization and fund supportive services for asylum seekers. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Rodriguez - Soto-Martinez - Hernandez), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City's 2023-24 Federal Legislative Program SUPPORT for S. 2175 (Gillibrand) to shorten the waiting period for employment authorization and fund supportive services for asylum seekers.
