(26) 23-0002-S86 RULES, ELECTIONS AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT and RESOLUTION relative to establishing the City’s position regarding Assembly Bill (AB) AB 249 (Holden), a requirement to test for lead in potable water system outlets at all public K-12 and daycare facilities and require immediate notice and remediation of sources of lead exposure under penalty of citation by the State Board of Education. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Hutt - Yaroslavsky – Blumenfield), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City's 2023-24 State Legislative Program SUPPORT for AB 249 (Holden), a requirement to test for lead in potable water system outlets at all public K-12 and daycare facilities and require immediate notice and remediation of sources of lead exposure under penalty of citation by the State Board of Education.
