(12) 23-1062 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to authorizing the Board of Library Commissioners (Board) to execute a proposed contract with Thought Projects, LLC, to provide exhibition coordinator services to the Los Angeles Public Library (Library). Recommendation for Council action: AUTHORIZE the President, Board, or designee, to execute the proposed contract between the City and Thought Projects, LLC, to provide exhibition coordinator services to the Library, for a term of one year upon the execution of the contract with four one-year options for renewal, not to exceed $200,000 per fiscal year, subject to review and approval of the City Attorney as to form. Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer (CAO) reports that funding in the amount of $200,000 for the services in the proposed contract is currently in the Library’s Office and Administrative Account. The 2023-24 Adopted Budget includes a funding realignment to move this funding to the Library’s Contractual Services Account. The amount of the contract for future years will be determined by the adopted budget each fiscal year. There is no additional impact on the General Fund. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO further reports that the recommendations comply with the City’s Financial Policies in that the proposed contract’s expenditures will be limited to the use of approved budgeted funds.
